Commodity Exchange Traded Funds

Exchange Traded Funds or ETF's are funds that follow the index of a particular industry or sector.  Exchange traded funds can track anything from the finance sector to the developing markets sector.  If you buy an exchange traded fund, you are buying into a diversified holding that contains shares of different companies in a particular sector.  A good example of this would be a commodity exchange traded fund.

Commodity ETF's are funds that track the overall market for commodities as a whole.  For example a particular portfolio of commodities exchange traded fund could be made up of 20% copper, 30% iron%, and the rest diversified into other minerals.  Depending on the particular strength of commodities at the time of investment, the portfolio will be diversified accordingly.

Your risk tolerance will depend on your financial situation at the time of investment, your age, and also your past experience with investments.  If you think that an industry is going to go up as a whole, then exchange traded funds are the perfect way to track the total increase in that industry. 

Commodity Exchange Traded Funds are very popular because the commodities generally tends to move upwards.  This happens because of global expansion and the limited amount of finite resources available on the earth.  Gold Exchange traded funds are another popular way to invest if you are believe the market will move up.
